Recently a group of East Hampshire Community Rail Partnership volunteers finally put plans to improve an untidy patch of land on the forecourt of Liss Station near the level crossing into action.A new planter has been installed and filled with summer flowers to brighten up the area, adding to other recent improvements at the station which include: a managed plant border near the entrance to the station

At long last the East Hampshire Community Rail Partnership has helped to install a better bench at the station in the forecourt and also a new Military Railway Notice Board on the railings. Watch out for more improvements in the near future! One step at a time!
Having attended a recent South West Trains Stakeholder event and seen changes at some of our stations we thought it worth highlighting some of the investment going on at some of our stations.At Liss new cycle parking facilities are to be installed. At Rowlands Castle new anti slip treads are to be placed on the passenger footbridge. This investment is welcomed by the East Hampshire Community Rail Partnership

Last week volunteers from Liss Village converged on the Station forecourt to give a rather unsightly flower bed a makeover. See for yourself below the fruits of their labour. This is the first stage of improvements at the station where it is hoped that with support from South West Trains and the South Downs National Park there will be additional seating, plants, information boards, signs to local walking and cycle routes provided.
